About the Author -

By writing fairy tale, I am trying to understand and explore the collective dreams of my culture, and to help heal the disconnection I feel in the world by creating new mythology for the future.

I grew up writing stories about animals, and about the miniature, lost worlds of tidal pools on the moody coast of Maine.  Since then, I have worked, traveled, and lived in many landscapes. I have a Masters degree in Transpersonal Psychology. All of my work -- in writing, teaching, counseling, and watching animals -- has been in the service of nature and soul. I live in an off-grid home with my husband, cats, goats, and wildlife, in the mountains of Western North Carolina.

I am fascinated by dreams and by our lives as waking dreams, in which we are the heroes of our own mythical stories.
